Colaborations

Located in the heart of coastal Oaxaca, Villa Puerto Escondido is an exploration of textures, light, and materiality, where Brutalist architecture merges with the warmth of natural materials to create a space that breathes with the tropical surroundings of the site.

Designed in collaboration with Ludwig Godefroy, the project highlights the connection between nature and the built environment. Utilizing stone in its most natural form, concrete with organic imprints, and local wood species, the villa creates an atmosphere of serenity and timelessness. The distribution of the space prioritizes views to the ocean, while allowing the play of natural light and the envelopment of its inhabitants in a sensorial experience that evolves throughout the day.

Every element of this villa has been chosen with precision to celebrate the honesty of the materials and the artisanal traditions of the region. Furniture with clean geometries, textiles with natural fibers, and sculptural pieces made by hand all work to give the space character and a unique identity, establishing a dialogue between artisanal craft and refined sophistication.  The imperfection of handmade objects becomes a virtue, generating a refugee that allows for deep rest and appreciation of the endemic landscape.
